I completed high school at Baradene College in 2023 and in 2024 earned a qualification as a personal trainer. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Psychology at AUT, driven by a passion to help people and understand the motivations behind human actions. My decision to study psychology stemmed from a wanting to help individuals and gain insight into the motivations behind their actions. My drive and commitment to studying psychology originate from wanting to unlock the potential of others and promote personal growth.
My educational journey has been complemented by practical experience with personal training, which has provided valuable skills in motivation, behaviour change, and goal setting. My background has enhanced my understanding of how psychological ideas apply in real-world settings, particularly in sports and personal development.
In terms of expertise, I am particularly interested in both general and sport psychology. I aim to become skilled in these areas to offer complete support to a range of clients. The dual focus I have will allow me to address a wider range of psychological needs, from everyday challenges to performance enhancement in sporting environments.
To stay current with the latest developments in psychology, I will actively engage in continuous learning through different methods. This includes reading, attending events, and participating in professional associations. By keeping aware of emerging research and trends, I can ensure that when I practise, I can remain informed by the most recent advancements in the field.
I am dedicated to using my knowledge and skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, as well as embracing my passion for understanding and enhancing a person’s potential.
