As a nationally ranked squash player and a qualified physiotherapist, my journey is shaped by a dual passion for sports and musculoskeletal health. Competing at a national level in squash exemplifies my dedication to excellence, while my experience as a sideline physiotherapist for rugby teams highlights my expertise in sports medicine.
With a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy and certification from the PAANZ Dry Needling Foundation Course, I’m equipped to utilise a variety of therapeutic techniques including cupping, needling, deep tissue massage, and manual therapy. These methods are tailored to relieve tightness and improve overall physical well-being. A key part of my approach includes strength training and High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), aligning personal fitness with professional practice.
My early experiences as a junior squash player in national competitions instilled a deep appreciation for physical health, laying the foundation for my career in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. This background, coupled with my focus on acute management and rehabilitation of knee and back injuries, allows me to understand the specific challenges athletes face and provide personalised care to enhance performance and recovery.
One of my most rewarding experiences involved helping a patient recover from traumatic ankle surgery, enabling them to regain their independence and avoid further procedures. This success reinforced my belief in the transformative power of physiotherapy and the positive impact it can have on people’s lives.
My mission is to foster physical resilience and optimise well-being through a comprehensive and personalised approach to care. Whether working with athletes or individuals seeking to improve their health, I am committed to empowering my clients to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
